There is variety of use of aluminum foil, such as in the kitchen, for wrapping, but many people are recommended to use it to treat some common ailments. Of course, the majority of those who use it for many purposes are not completely informed about some important things for it.
This is produced of a neurotoxic heavy metal that has severe side-effects, such as the function of the brain and experts have been associated this effect with Alzheimer’s disease.
In addition, according to the medical experts, longer use of this heavy metal might cause long- lasting adverse effects like mental decline, and loss of memory, coordination, balance and bodily control.
These side effects have been investigated by many researchers and they found that cooking with aluminum foil affects the bones, due to the ability of aluminum to build up inside the bones and thus takes the space of calcium, reducing its presence.
The other side effects that researchers have related when the aluminum foil is used in cooking are pulmonary fibrosis and other respiratory issues. In this situation, people inhale aluminum particles, which also happens in the case of grilling with aluminum.
Everyone should be aware that when aluminum foil is exposed to high temperatures, it emits parts of the metal into the food, so, then heavy metal might leech in it.
The meal cooked in aluminum foil can include up to 400mg of aluminum, were the results found in the study of Dr. Essam Zubaidy, a chemical engineering researcher from the USA.
It is clear that when the temperature increases, the leaching increases as well. It should be avoided to use it for cooking vegetables especially tomatoes, citrus juice or spices.
You should be aware of the recommended daily allowance (RDA) for aluminum, which according to the World Health Organization, should be less than 60mg daily.
