Today we are going to present a technique that might one day save your life or the life of a friend.
Heart attacks are unpredictable but they tend to show some symptoms that serve as a warning before they unleash their full power.
I hope that you will never need to do this but it is a good technique to know in order to help save a life if the situation requires it.
Once the symptoms of myocardial infarction start, most people purely panic and fall unconsciousness shortly after. Yet, in that time, you can do a lot more than panic and actually save your own life.
The first thing to do after you start experiencing initial symptoms is call and ambulance. Once the call is finished, the waiting time begins. Use this time to cough deeply and forcefully. Go with two seconds coughs extending the exhale. By coughing, you pressure your heart to maintain the circulation flow and by taking deep breaths you force oxygen into the lungs. This way the heart normalizes the sinus rhythm and by doing this technique you can greatly increase your chances of staying alive until the professional help arrives.
